     Fennel is one of the curative plants, known also for biblical references and contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

     Fennel grows everywhere, spontaneous, but can be cultivated also in organized manner; his flavor and smell are unique and easily identifiable with specific characteristics.

     Fennel is a medicinal plant, and a vegetable, too and is used as disinfectant, antispasmodic, counter cough, and as nerve tonic, treat bloating, cramps, constipation, relieve colic, treating bronchitis, bronchitis asthma, physical and mental exhaustion, reducing menses in quantitative terms, conjunctiva (as external use oil infused with fennel of the ear), laryngitis, abdominal bloating, tonsillitis (external use as gargles) and in other eye infections (external use).

     Because of his calming properties, fennel is used in stressful situations, headaches, cellulite, slow digestion, and amenorrhea.

     Mostly is known for his culinary properties, since was used for a long period in all international kitchens.

     Fennel is used in the tea, powder, oil and mixture form, as an antiseptic, carminative (gas absorbs so soothing cramps), sedative, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic on smooth muscle analgesic when colic, stimulates the women’s milk secretion, antispasmodic, expectorant qualities stomachic, antitoxic, diuretic, relieves muscle spasms in the bronchial whooping cough and asthma reassuring.

     In all his forms in combination with other plants has a calming and tonic effect, stimulates the secretion of gastric acid and bile, and intestinal elimination of natural gas, reducing bloating, abdominal pain, stimulates digestion and has great effects of constipation problems, is a natural treatment for respiratory problems, combat fever and is very effective in reducing the symptoms of colds and flu.

     The fennel seeds are dried away from sun light and moisture. They are used in diets as increase metabolism and are fat burning.
