The medicine extract is obtained from the remaining husk after seed removal from the pods and is used as a diuretic, in infections of the urinary tract, for kidney or bladder stones, for obesity and diabetes. As Bean Pods may decrease blood sugar, they interact moderately with diabetes medication, so caution is recommended when taking this combination.
